Two part-time Bank Teller positions available. 1 part-time temporary position to end 06/30/2009 (work schedule 10 AM - 4 PM) and 1 part-time permanent position (work schedule varies) This position is responsible for accurate and courteous processing of customer transactions contributing to favorable customer relations and efficient teller operations. Job Responsibilities: 1. Serve customers at a window and process a variety of over-the-counter transactions based on the judgment of the individual's reliability and guidelines established by the bank. Questionable transactions or those exceeding limits are referred to the Loan Officer. 2. Receive commercial and individual checking deposits, verify cash and endorsements and issue receipts. 3. Accept checks for cash or payments, verify endorsement, validity and funds and make change. Refer large or unusual transactions to the Loan Officer. Process credit card advances. Assist with sending and receiving faxes. 4. Receive savings deposits, payout withdrawals after verifying balance and signatures. 5. Issue money orders, cashier's checks, traveler's checks. EE bonds and other bank drafts, collect and record related fees. Maintain control and account for each transaction. 6. Balance window work daily, maintain established cash level through selling or purchasing cash from the vault. Report, investigate and correct all balancing errors. 7. Promote and cross-sell additional bank services and products to customers when applicable. 8. Resolve customer inquiries as they pertain to the teller function and direct customers to the appropriate departments. Answer incoming phone calls, take messages or transfer customer to appropriate department or person. 9. Work proof machine to encode and balance transactions. 10. Month end duties, cashier check, money order, travelers check logs, miscellaneous filing of open and closed accounts 11. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time, which may include, but are not limited to: processing night and mail deposits and loan payments.
