Overview:The successful candidate will apply general accounting principles, office procedures, practices, policies, and controls to efficiently accomplish routine Accounts Payable activities in the AP processes assigned. Essential Functions:Reviews and verifies payment-supporting documentation, in paper-based and electronic media, to ensure accurate coding and approval of applicable payment documentation; performs data input to meet processing schedules while taking full advantage of discounts and related prompt payment incentives; and completes reconciliation's of routine accounting data. Identifies, recommends, and participates in the implementation of process improvements. Skill / Experience Requirements:Requires High School diploma, with two-year certificate from Business Administration program desired. Requires minimum of 6 months to one year of related experience; or combination of education and experience. Must have an ability to learn procurement policies and procedures, with an ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats. Requires strong organizational skills, with demonstrated experience using spreadsheets.
