Basic Purpose: To assist the Financial Inventory Manager in monitoring and controlling the flow of inventory throughout the system. Responsibilities: Daily release and review of general ledger inventory transactions. Prepare and enter journal entries for monthly closings. Help maintain the integrity of the cost system in JDA by investigating variances. Help maintain the integrity of on hand quantities by investigating variances. Adjust cost and on-hand quantities, when required. Help monitor transfer activity between the PKMS and JDA systems. Provide assistance to other departments and stores with issues relating to inventory. Prepare daily and weekly reports for various warehouse personnel Perform and document internal audits on quantity and cost issues for the Manager’s review. Prepare accruals. Assist with the inventory count adjustment process. Assist with the billing and transfer process. Assist with the year-end audit. Other projects and reports, as requested. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience. Proficient knowledge of Excel and Word required. Knowledge of inventory transactions and the flow through the general ledger. Experience with the AS400 system and/or Crystal reports, a plus. Able to interact and work well with others in a fast paced environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet due dates.
