6566 – Partnership Accountant (Providence, RI): Our client, a $1B+ private equity firm in Providence, RI, is seeking a Partnership Accountant to join their team. As part of a 10 person accounting team, the Partnership Accountant will be responsible for tax and accounting work for the firm’s various funds. Responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of financial statements, capital calls, distributions, creating investor financial reports, cash management, analysis and reconciliations, preparing quarterly GAAP basis financial reporting packages, preparing tax basis financial statements and supporting schedules periodically, assisting with calculation of quarterly tax estimates, updating investment basis and capital gains schedules, and researching technical tax and accounting issues. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of public or public/private accounting or tax background and a degree in Accounting. A high level of comprehension of GAAP and tax basis accounting is required. GreatPlains software experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will have some form of both tax and accounting experience.
