FIRST COMMUNITY BANK - PERSONAL BANKER The general purpose of the Personal Banker position is to proactively promote the bank’s products and services to existing and new clients. This position will assist the Branch Manager with building the customer portfolio of the branch through personal selling efforts including in-person calls, telephone calls and letters. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Proactively develops business and consumer relationships with the bank’s target market of small businesses, their owners and employees, as well as high-net worth clients. 2. Actively profiles customers to understand their complete financial services needs and recommends products and services based on those needs. 3. Assists customers with the opening of checking services, business services, investment Services, consumer and business loans, First Line Reserve Accounts and Bank at Work programs in accordance with the highest of customer service standards. 4. Cross sells all bank products and services in accordance with established goals of branch and region. 5. Enters and maintains accurate customer information into data information system. 6. Prepares and follows-up on all new account documentation, signature cards, TIN's, maintenance, etc., and submits required copies of documentation to Quality Control. 7. Orders checks and other products required by customer in an accurate and timely manner and follows up and resolves any problems affecting customers. 8. Communicates orally and in writing with customers by always projecting a positive, professional image; assists customers in resolution of problems and acts promptly with regard to customers' requests and follows through on commitments on a timely basis. 9. Maintains an organized and presentable work area, paying close attention to the details required in serving the bank's customers. 10. Assists customers with entry to safety deposit box and other miscellaneous lobby requests. 11. Assists officers with overdraft reports and course of action as directed by officer. 12. Assists with all duties as assigned or needed by the branch to include, but not limited to, answering phones, assisting co-workers with work flow, and miscellaneous clerical duties. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and continued education through specialized and undergraduate schools. 2. Work Experience: 1 - 3 years general bank experience with emphasis in customer service and sales. 3. Skills: Proficiency with 10 key , PC, EZ Teller, Platform & CBS systems. Excellent sales and service and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with bank's internal and external customers. Ability to work as a team player and collaborate with all employees to meet branch goals and projected budget. 4. Other Job Related Criteria: Must have full knowledge and understanding of the bank's products and services; policies, procedures and regulations to include but not limited to: Truth in Savings, Regs E, CC, D & Q and FDIC insurance.
