This community minded bank is looking for a new VP, Credit Administration Officer. Essential Duties: • Supervise special credits officers and support personnel • Develop collection strategies through financial statement and collateral analysis • Collection and liquidation of problem loans, including repossession and sale as appropriate • Develop litigation strategies with bank counsel and supervisor • Prepare past due and problem loan report as required by Loan Policy • Develop, review, and implement policies and procedures for collection and repossession • Monitor assigned portfolio for delinquencies • Provide expertise to loan officers on property collateral documentation • Support bank-wide campaigns and represent the bank professionally at all times • Demonstrate knowledge of and practice bank’s customer service standards at all times Other Collection Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage litigation process • Investigate borrower repayment potential using public records and other sources • Acquisition and liquidation of OREO and UCC property • Negotiate purchase and sale agreements and conduct appropriate liquidation activities • Assist Loan Servicing on specialized loan collateral documentation • Assist Loan Servicing and Merchant Services on non-performing merchants Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. Work Experience: 10 plus years of experience directly related to the function of the position. An equivalent combination of education and experience in commercial and consumer collections, loan, documentation, commercial and consumer lending, or commercial law may be substituted. Analytical Ability: Ability to analyze financial, collateral, and public records information, and legal motions. Computer/Software/Equipment Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Excel and MS Office Products Knowledge and Communication Skills: Thorough understanding of credit and collection concepts and practices is required. Must be able to prioritize work, work independently, and communicate effectively with employees, management, and customers. Must possess the knowledge and skills to successfully provide training, assign duties, and direct the work of special credits officers and support personnel.
