Description JOB SUMMARY This position develops, tracks, analyzes and reports on project costs & schedules associate with construction or maintenance projects and activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Understand, practice and continually lead by example FEPSI’s commitment to zero incident safety and environmental culture. • Work with the Project Controls Manager to determine status costs, actual and committed, of assigned projects. • Review cost performance including detailed budget variances with Project Controls Manager, Project Manager, corporate management and Client. • Create, review and maintain project schedules to determine project sequences, lead times and progress. • Review schedule trends including critical path and activities behind schedule with Project Controls Manager, Project Manager, corporate management and Client. • Develop Weekly, Monthly, and Total Cost Reports for each Project. • Cost Reports shall be broken into the Task level with appropriate roll-up. • Status of Tasks shall include history, present, and forecast numbers. • Develop Status procedures and Extract Status data from Fairweather and Subcontractors. • Extract Cost Data from Vendor Invoices, Subcontractor Reports, Fairweather Reports, and Field Wide Directs and Indirect. • Maintain an integrated Client, Fairweather, Field, and Subcontractor Schedule (EPC). • Man and Cost Load Schedules. • Integrate Cost and Scheduling reporting. • Integrate with Document Control Records Retention. • Consistently demonstrate skills with assigned activities, teamwork, communications, handling of client’s needs, and problem solving. • Prepare interim and completion project reports. • Participate in front end planning of major projects. • Other duties as assigned. MUST HAVE NORTH SLOPE EXPERIENCE COMPETENCIES • Information Gathering – Develop the system to obtain information for the Cost Reports and Schedules with Clients and Subcontractors Proactively manage the information gathering system developed. • Accounts Payable – Vendor Invoice Processing. • Confidentiality – Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate procedures for handling sensitive and confidential information. • Analytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information. • Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers, analyzes and interprets both financial and general business information skillfully. • Oral and Written Communication – Effectively communicate, verbally and written, with project supervision and management, and client representatives. Ability to recognize and accurately communicate important issues and questions to appropriate project personnel. • Quality Management – Ability to work in a team environment, take directions from supervisor(s), high degree of attention to details, follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules. Ability to successfully and accurately perform duties and responsibilities with minimal direct supervision. Ability to proactively work in a high paced, deadline oriented environment. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. • Judgment – Displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions. • Planning/Organizing – Must plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner. Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, including tracking and managing numerous and varied tasks. Ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and analyze and improve work processes. • Safety and Security – Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly. MANDATORY: • Must be proficient in Primavera P6, Sure Trak, MS Project, MSOffice Word, Excel, Scanning Adobe Professional desired. • Schedule Experience (both Projects and Primavera) ability to fully load schedules and do data dumps, to create Equipment and Manpower Curves. • Create Project Cost Reports and Schedules from scratch • Ability to mine accounting data for population into Cost Reports. • Worked with (WIP) Forecasting. QUALIFICATIONS To successfully perform this job, this position must perform all duties and responsibilities accurately and satisfactorily while complying with specific deadlines. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform this job. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE • College degree in accounting, finance, construction management, engineering or related and equivalent experience. • Minimum 5 years experience in cost and scheduling. • Experience with Primavera software is required. • Government, Oil and Gas industry experience on union contracts.
