Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
This privately held, growing technology company specializes in software implementation and technology services for the real estate management industry. We are seeking to fill a controller position with an energetic, highly motivated individual.
This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the company, human resource duties and related duties, including the following:
All aspects of financial affairs, including accounts payable and receivable, cash management, collections, preparation and distribution of monthly client invoices;
Prepare and maintain financial forecasts and budgets and handle financial planning;
Handle all payroll functions, manage company benefit and retirement plans and handle personnel issues, employee files, new hire orientation program and corporate incentive program;
Month end close and generation of financial statements including balance sheets, income statements and other financial reports;
Preparation of adjusting journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals;
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts;
Provide timely information to CPAs for preparation of income tax returns;
Creation of custom management reports;
Manage time and expense reporting system, including resource management and project budget tracking functions;
Assist with cost estimates and pricing methodology;
Handle all vendor/contract employee relationships and contracts;
Other duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have strong communication skills, work independently, motivate others, and provide support to the general manager. Other requirements are:
Bachelors degree in accounting, advanced degree in accounting or CPA designation a definite plus;
Minimum of five years experience in accounting;
Minimum of three years experience with Quickbooks;
Human resource management experience a plus;
Strong financial analysis and planning skills;
Strong work ethic & excellent client communication skills;
Attention to detail and thoroughness;
Demonstrated leadership and problem solving abilities;
High energy level;
Highly organized and ability to multi-task;
Flexibility and creativity;
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
