Position will provide you with the Responsibilities of: • Reporting and accounting ownership, including managing and oversight of A/P, A/R, and accounting staff • Coordinating all monthly and quarterly financial reporting to management. • Maintaining the proper control environment including accounting practices and future compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Develop and document accounting and corporate policies and procedures as appropriate. • Monitoring changes in accounting rules and evaluating the potential impact of proposed accounting and reporting pronouncements on the Company’s business and reporting practices. • Reviewing contracts for determination of financial treatment in accordance with GAAP. • Participating in Company preparations for possible IPO, and preparation of operating plans and forecasts • Leading the interface with external auditors, with primary responsibility for the external audit. • Supporting CFO on various projects as assigned. An Excellent Candidate will have the following Skills and Qualifications: • Strong general accounting (G/L, A/R, A/P, etc.), financial reporting, internal controls experience. • Strong understanding of GAAP • Multi-entity experience including consolidations • SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley experience highly desirable • Solid skills in Microsoft Excel (MS Access a plus) and accounting systems • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Solid staff mentorship experience needed • Action oriented; thrives in a dynamic environment; willing to take the initiative when the opportunity presents itself • Flexible/team player; comfortable changing directions mid-stream; understands the importance of achieving team objectives. • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA preferred • 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
