Responsible for all financial functions for a statewide non-profit agency, working closely with the executive director and the board on all financial matters. Responsible for oversight and administration of all bookkeeping functions, including: general bookkeeping duties, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries. Develop annual budget in coordination with the board and the agency management team. Serve as liaison between administration and finance committee. Maintain files on all current grants and insure proper accounting for each grant received. Prepare grant budgets and assist in the submission of grant proposals. Prepare drawdown or reimbursement requests for all applicable grant funds in a timely manner. Track and report on unrestricted and restricted grant fund usage as required. Assure proper storage of financial records. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports. Prepare annual IRS form 990 tax return. Prepare for and oversee independent audit annually. Requires BA in accounting or financing, 5 years of experience (preferably in a non-profit setting), advanced skills in MS Excel, ability to learn accounting software program.
