A large publicly-traded company HQ'ed in center city, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with 4+ years of Audit experience, strong technical accounting skills and strong financial analysis experience, with Due Diligence/M&A being a huge plus. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist the corporate finance function by performing recurring analysis related to the monthly close, SEC reporting and financial budgeting. Specific tasks include: a. Quarterly technical accounting pronouncement update b. Annual and quarterly SEC reporting tasks c. Monthly review of foreign currency accounting by all divisions d. General review of monthly financial statements e. Monthly update of the consolidated financial estimate f. Participation in bi-monthly credit meetings 2. Project oriented analyses related to Corporate strategic initiatives such as: a. Acquisition due diligence b. Financial modeling c. Treasury function activities, including debt covenant compliance 3. Project orientated analyses related to subsidiary operational and financial risks & opportunities including: a. Make vs. buy analyses b. Key account reconciliation reviews c. Standardization of financial reporting processes d. Profit improvement initiatives e. Process improvement projects MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. 2. Minimum of four (4) years of relevant financial analysis and audit experience, primarily in a manufacturing or distribution company environment. 3. Prior experience should demonstrate: a. ability to understand and interpret financial statements b. a working knowledge of FASB pronouncements and interpretations c. general understanding of foreign currency accounting d. ability to perform financial and operational audits / reviews e. exposure to the process of budgeting and forecasting f. exposure to financial due diligence and financial modeling g. Strong written and oral communication skills h. Possess the ability to work independently i. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management j. Excellent organization and planning skills k. Ability to handle multiple jobs simultaneously l. Proficient with Microsoft Office software package 4. Requires the ability to understand key operational areas of a manufacturing and distribution environment, as well as a detailed understanding of GAAP. 5. Successful candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively with executive management, subsidiary management and employees, as well as independent auditors and consultants.
