CPA firm seeks a career-minded full-time, results and team-oriented professional. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Post cash receipts, check disbursements and other original information (or supervise clerical personnel in these tasks) Reconcile bank accounts Prepare and post general and adjusting entries Prepare monthly financial statements Prepare monthly workpapers to firm specificiations Prepare annual trial balance and workpapers sufficient to prepare income tax returns Prepare payroll for multiple clients, based on information supplied from client Prepare and submit payroll tax deposits and payroll reports Prepare other monthly and/or annual client filings Liason with multiple clients regarding accounting and payroll issues Other duties as assigned Requires the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, superiors and clients. Must be able to work under pressure. Works well in team environment, with the spirit of cooperation. Takes direction and constructive feedback from supervisor. Maintains punctual, regular and predicable attendance. Is able to plan and carry out assigned projects, in unsupervised atmosphere, to efficiently and effectively arrive at end results. Qualifications: Must have at least five years experience and/or training in all facets of accounting, from inception to preparation of the financial statement. Must have experience in at least two accounting programs, one of which may be Quickbooks. Must have reasonable knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
