It is the responsibility of the Staff Accountant to perform varied accounting functions while assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and established company policies. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Specific Job Functions: Input “Positive Pay Issues” and check “Exception Notices” daily. Process and Audit of the transmittals. Audit Domestic and International Branch Office operating expenses. Input the check requisition. Prepare the wire transfer instruction. Assist operating departments with analysis of financial results and perform ad-hoc accounting projects as requested by management Reconciles Domestic & International bank accounts. Reconciles balance sheet accounts Enters fixed assets data into financial system & prepare quarterly package. Assists operating departments with monthly analysis of P&L statements Accurately records and posts entries in the financial system Completes Ad-hoc projects as requested by management Performs other job related duties JOB REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of two years work experience in an accounting, finance, or a related field with work in general accounting and financial statement preparation Previous experience working in an environment that requires enforcement of internal controls and application of generally accepted accounting principles to ensure protection of assets and accurate recording and reporting of business transactions in financial systems Must possess the ability to read, analyze and evaluate financial reports, transactions, correspondence and written material Must be able to make sound, thought out judgments in regard to given assignments Must possess the manual dexterity to work behind a computer monitor for extended periods of time Location: Bellagio Compensation: TBD at time of interview Principals only.
