My thirteen and one half year old german shepard has been diagnosed with lumbosacral syndrome. Anyone out there have any experience with this condition. She recently has had trouble getting up on the bed at night - I figured it was arthritis - out of the clear blue she started dragging her right rear foot around. She has been treated with a steroid injection - deramaxx and Ecotrin. Her leg is swelling and our vet is not too encouraging. The vet has to come in because I can't get her out of the house - so alternative measures like acupuncture etc. doesn't appear to be an option. Any ideas.
