Counter Manager

job responsibilities;
objective
- meet overall seasonal sales objectives
- maintain all merchandising guidelines with schematics, displays, merchandisers and testers
- maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at counter
- wear philosophy supernatural make up and dress in philosophy brand clothes while at counter in keeping with philosophy and store image standards.
- follow all philosophy gold standard selling and service protocols
- ensure that all counter staff fulfills his or her job responsibilities
- take a leadership role in meeting all philosophy service and productivity expectations
selling
- set the standard for servicing customers in accordance with philosophy concept and direction
- plan for and meet daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
- consistently demonstrate philosophy gold standard service by using client cards, skin typing, sampling, print material and by conducting product demonstrations
- attend all philosophy education workshops and ensure use of information at the counter
- consistently offer skin-care and make-up consultations to customers using blueprint
business development
- take a leadership role in building business
- use client cards to record customer information and allow for future contact and/or use retailer client system
- follow up with customers via phone or mail on a regular basis
- take a leadership role in approaching customers
- lead team in using “have a seat” technique to attract new customers
- plan for, prepare and execute all seasonal events
- practice new selling skills and techniques as learned in schools, workshops or during in-store visits with Account Coordinator, Account Executive/Educator, Regional Education Manager and Regional Sales Manager
- pre-sell clients on new items being launched
- monitor counter AUS and IPT, offering coaching as needed
- take lead in training and coaching and counseling new philosophy consultants
non selling responsibilities
- delegate counter duties and follow up on completion of tasks
- ensure that counter and testers are cleaned and filled daily
- ensure that cases are merchandised according to caseline and visual presentation standards (see visual merchandising guidelines)
- organize all returns and damages and ensure that all damages claims and RAs are processed
- maintain inventory levels in the cases by replenishing stock from the stock room.
- alert Account Executive/Educator and Buyer to any stock concerns
- send tester requests to Account Executive/Educator as needed
- keep track of individual daily sales as well as total counter sales
- ensure that counter schedule accurately reflects the counter’s coverage needs
- ensure that client book is maintained and kept up to date
- keep Account Executive/Educator up to date with any changes in staffing information
