Transit Director Northcentral Montana Regional Transit System Provide planning and operations expertise for a newly formed public transit system serving rural communities in northcentral Montana. Perform initial resource assessment and directs, plans, and initiates appropriate plan to increase the resources available to support the operation of the public transit services. Coordinate with other transportation providers in the area. Manage the operations of the public transit services which includes contracting of transit services and/or direct supervision of drivers, implementation of maintenance plan, and all compliance with federal and state regulations as they pertain to the operation of a public transportation system. Other duties include maintaining/developing rapport w/community service providers, facilitation of Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings to assist in the development of partnerships to generate increased collaboration and coordination of transportation resources/service delivery plans, and work with public transportation providers in Northcentral Montana and other areas to ensure coordination as required by MDT. Prefer individual living or working within 60 miles of Havre, Montana or willing to relocate that is an experienced administrator or program/project leader preferably with knowledge of Federal Transit Administration rules (including the Section 5311 program), public transportation, and coordination practices.
