PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES X Train supervisors and oversee line supervisor's job duties; critique performance. X Trouble shoot problems with product and maintain contact with other department heads to eliminate problems on floor X Supervise entire production operation, shift, lines or other functions related to production and oversee specific production areas. X Perform weekly inspections for quality control (cleanliness, labeling products, etc) and evaluate crew efficiency; take corrective action as assigned. X Contribute to and protect the profit of the corporation. X To assist in the evaluation of the quality of the product in order to insure compliance with established standards, daily. X To assist in the scheduling of production personnel and maintenance of required reports and records X To insure a safe operation in compliance with the corporate accident prevention program. Hold and / or assist in required safety meetings. X To comply with all labor-management: contracts in order to provide for positive employee relations. X To ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to established sanitary and housekeeping standards, to highest efficiency necessary. X To cooperate with engineering and sanitation department in the required maintenance of equipment and facilities. To work close with the shipping supervisor, catcher, and final inspector to insure quality products. X To Maintain current and complete records of all activities. X Other duties assigned by the Production Manager Education and/or on-the-job experience needed X High school degree required with at least five years relevant management experience. College degree preferred, but not required X Completion of AIB Science of Baking correspondence course X Completion of American Institute of Baking Residence Baking Course Specialty / Job-Related knowledge, skills & abilities needed X Engineering - Understands the unique equipment in a bakery production plant, along with operation of that equipment relative to the baking process. Ability to trouble shoot equipment to ensure optimum product quality and safety is achieved X Accounting Policy and Key Accounting Practices - Understands production accounting along with budgets and profit and loss responsibility Technical Skills X Personal Computer Skills - Literate with MS Excel and Word Leadership experience needed X Team Dynamics Empowerment, Collaboration, Motivation, and Enthusiasm - effectively leads, coaches, trains, and motivates people to follow established standards X Human Performance Management - effectively monitor performance of direct reports and provide feedback to improve performance May apply in person at: 2248 Spenard Road, Anchorage, Alaska.
