Reports directly to the Regional Operation Manager in the planning, coordination, and scheduling of Structured Cabling / Network Infrastructure projects. Ensures the required design is executed compliantly: and installation, quality assurance meets industry standards and customer expectations, through completion testing, customer acceptance, project closure, and invoicing. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide supervision, direction, and leadership to on-site technical staff. • Maintain consistent communication with the Regional Operation Manager including project execution plans. • Accountable for the completion of the project according to the customer provided scope of work. • Ensure project is completed on time and on budget by monitoring labor hours and other job costs. • Attend in-house pre-construction and project planning meetings and on-site client meetings. • Ensure the prompt response to all client issues. • Develop and submit through proper channels Contract Change Orders on an as needed basis. • Monitor work performance and productivity. • Track the delivery and usage of material required to complete the project. • Ensure that quality assurance testing and site clean up are completed per the project scope of work. • Ensure Cad Department receives all information required to create a customer ready documentation package. SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: • Requires a solid understanding of cabling industry standards and installation practices. • Ability to read and understand blue prints and other technical information. • Able to conduct long lead-time preparations and effectively coordinate material, special tool requirements, labor scheduling, and job specific customer requirements. • Ability to coordinate all aspects of a successful job start-up, installation, Quality Assurance testing, and project wrap-up. • Ability to meet customer expectations using personnel with widely differing skill levels without exceeding assigned resources. • Ability to provide on-the-job training to cabling technicians • Customer contact skills • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing TRAINING/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • 10+ years experience in the computer cabling industry • 5+ years as a Lead Technician • Certified as a BICSI Technician or RCDD • Training in the safe use of Hilti powder actuated tools • Experienced in the use of copper and fiber testers Location: Torrance, CA Compensation: DOE- Up to $65,000.00 per year Principals only.
