WELL KNOWN INSURANCE COMPANY HAS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A MEDICAL CLAIMS EXAMINER FOR THEIR LAS VEGAS LOCATION. Description Handles the first 90 days of claims; determines AOE/COE issues; responsible for TD and PD payments and handling non-litigated medical only claims; handles litigated caseload, not High exposure claims; responsible for ratings, reserves and subrogation. It is medical investigations – mostly CD work (construction defect) - the person will be investigating the validity of the claim. 2 years college would be nice, or some type of insurance designation. Chosen candidates will need to pass a stringent background. Any type of claims experience would be great however they will also train a really sharp person with a good background. 2+ years experience would be great. Most important: very fast paced office; will need to be able to multitask and handle intensive documentation. Will also need to be thick skinned to handle complaints from customers. The computer is a windows based system specific to their company.
