Our company sells health food products online. We ship over 1000 packages per month to customer throughout the US. 85% of our orders are placed online without human intervention, with the other 15% placed by phone. We are seeking a new team member to handle order processing. Responsibilities include: - Pulling customer orders from inventory - Carefully packaging customer orders so that they reach their destination in perfect condition - Processing shipments via UPS and USPS - Receiving shipments from our suppliers These processes are very automated, so none of its rocket science. You just need to be organized and highly accurate. But in addition to handling the aforementioned responsibilities, the person we hire must have great people-skills. S/he must be able to handle phone orders in a manner that leaves the customer thrilled that they called us instead of a competitor. Required skills/attributes: - Must have superior people skills and telephone skills - Must be very organized - Must be able to multi-task - Must be able to lift packages that are frequently 40 lbs - Must be self-motivated and self-directed - Must be proficient with common Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Knowledge of nutrition and health foods is a big plus, but not mandatory This position is currently 27 hours/week. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 8am to 1pm, and Friday from 8am to 3pm. No weekends. Compensation is in the range of $10-12 per hour, depending on experience, skill level and how self-directed you are.
