New Balance Brandywine currently has an opening for an Assistant Manager. Candidates must have experience in previous management or supervisor roles. The ideal candidate will be an avid runner with a strong work ethic, an interest in Pedorthics, and pride in customer service. Previous experience in an athletic store is preferred but not required. Our Assistant Managers are required to be detail oriented, have a full knowledge of our products, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. We provide training in the technical aspects of our products, gait analysis, and fitting customers into the correct shoe. In addition to learning about our products our Assistant Managers learn all aspects of running the store from managing inventory, to training employees. This position requires flexible availability, working at least 4 nights and 4 weekend shifts per month. Assistant managers are responsible assisting the Store Manager on the day to day activities of the store including, but not limited to working on the sales floor, developing and continuing relationships with local running groups and professionals in the area, and maintaining a clean, inviting store. Assistant Managers are also responsible for continuing to develop a friendly knowledgeable staff, assisting the Store Manager in interviewing new employees along with training the staff and setting the bar as an example for selling and customer service.
