Summary: It is the primary responsibility of the Business Center Representative to provide a variety of business related services to guests and convention delegates. Essential job functions include: Receive boxes and letters delivered to the hotel by carrier for all in-house and convention delegates; transmit and retrieve faxes for all hotel guest and convention delegates; perform full scale photocopy assistance to include large and small jobs; cash handling and balancing of business service transactions consisting of cash payments and room charge receipts; handle arrangements with convention delegates for packing and shipping of large parcels out of the hotel at convention closing; prepare respective reports and perform other administrative duties as required; ability to perform a myriad of duties with diligence and attention to detail; must be able to work under pressure due to heavy business volume and handle sensitive situations relating to guest problems; physical stamina to walk long distances to deliver and pick up packages and faxes; ability to stand behind a counter for extended periods of time to extract and input information. Qualifications: Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. One-year previous customer service experience in a position where the primary job duty is direct customer contact, with the ability to provide courteous, friendly and efficient service. Previous experience or knowledge of shipping. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
