1986 Volvo 240 DL silver 4 door sedan with gray/black interior. This has been a safe and reliable daily driver/project car for the past 3 to 4 years. I have replaced many parts during the time that I've owned it including a recent engine swap, new head, all new gaskets and seals, all belts including timing belt, water pump, most of its sensors, fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, oil filter, air filter, brake pads, brake rotors, rebuilt brake calipers, battery, windshield, and many more. The exterior is silver and is in pretty good shape considering it age, I had planned on painting it and replacing the lights (the lights work) for cosmetic reasons. The interior is black and gray and in great shape, there is a cd/mp3 player already installed in the dash. The engine compartment and engine looks great. Mechanically the car is solid with 2 exceptions. The engine has either a timing issue or a sensor issue, I'm not sure which but either one would be a simple and cheap fix. The car runs now but its noticeable that something needs to be tweaked, I would guess the problem could be fixed for $50 to $100. The only other problem is a small exhaust leak on the pipes. I had a garage price that repair at $20, the mechanic said he could weld the pipe and fix it. Normally the car has a quite purr sound but with the exhaust leak its a little louder than normal. Besides those 2 issues the car is very sound, I'm sure it will please its new owner. I'm asking $800 for the Volvo which is a very reasonable price for these cars especially one that has had this much work put into it. These cars are known for lasting for 400,000 or much longer and since this one has a new engine it has a lot of life left in it. I also have extra parts that will be included with the car. I recently drove this car from Georgia to West Virginia and back for $50, it gets great gas mileage!
