The responsibilities of the Business Analyst position will include reporting, analysis and optimization of business functions regarding trip.com, the newest addition to The Away Network. This position, located in downtown Washington, DC, has day to day responsibility for monitoring and ensuring the successful operation of trip.com as well as the weekly revenue forecasts and budgeting activities. The business analyst will interact with multiple departments within The Away Network, including product management, marketing, implementation, and finance. RESPONSIBILITES: • 40% Campaign Optimization & Maintenance. Manage advertiser cpc campaigns; develop and maintain relationships with distribution partners (including Orbitz Partner Marketing Account Managers); work with product managers to develop tactical site enhancements; monitor campaign and site delivery; work with product managers to evaluate efficacy; optimize promotional placements to achieve delivery goals. • 20% Revenue Forecasting. Develop revenue models for trip.com and provide weekly revenue forecasts to the senior team, prepare business cases for the annual capital budget for the approval from the senior finance team. • 20% Operational Reporting. Provide Weekly/Monthly traffic and campaign ROI reports to senior management, work with ad operations team to track promotion inventory, maintain monthly reports for operational metrics related to media buying, work with management and other internal stakeholders to identify current operational reporting requirements. • 20% Financial Analysis. Provide financial analyses as required by the management to evaluate new business opportunities and current business performance as well as to prioritize existing and future functionality. • This position will be responsible for the reporting and optimization of trip.com and will also be responsible for understanding the existing procedures and suggesting any changes if needed. • This position will need to be able to operate independently. • Timely and accurate financial and business performance reporting • Accurate financial analysis as required by management • Identifying opportunities for additional reporting and analysis to further goals of the company • Work effectively with financial reporting, accounting and ad operations teams. QUALIFICATIONS: • 2-3 years minimum work experience; more preferred. • BS/BA. (MBA a plus). • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills and attention to detail and a strong grasp of financial systems. • Strong interpersonal skills • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, etc) • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Access, PowerPoint, Word. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • Ability to work independently and be proactive. • Advanced Excel and Access skills strongly desired • Travel industry experience desirable • Media company experience desirable • eMarketing experience desirable Begin your new career today.
