Role Description: Internal Audit places great emphasis on adding value, developing and maintaining working relationships and establishing partnerships with the businesses to improve the way they are controlled. Responsibilities: The role will be involved in all aspects of the audit activities. Coverage will encompass the investment management process and extend to core support groups such as Risk Management, Operations, Finance and Compliance. The Audit Senior will partner with the team to support the audit process by: •Developing and maintaining working relationships with the business •To assist in the risk assessment of assigned business units •Planning, executing, reporting and following-up audits of various parts of the business •Assisting in the audit issue follow up process •Providing advice during the development of new businesses and systems •Performing investigations, special reviews, secondments to other departments and other ad hoc projects •Keeping abreast of regulatory and industry changes within the US Skills and Qualifications: •CPA is a huge plus •3+ years of internal controls and/or audit procedures experience and ability to demonstrate the successful completion multiple audit assignments •3+ years of public accounting experience •Understanding of regulatory requirements within the US •Be passionate about his/her ability to influence change within the control environment •Strong communication and relationship management skills •Team player •Good organizational skills Location: Washington, DC Compensation: 65,000 to 75,000 Principals only.
