Small, progressive preschool in Takoma Park, DC, serving children ages 2 – 5, is seeking a dynamic new executive director. We are looking for both an interim director to see us through the summer and a permanent leader who would begin with us before the start of the new school year. A background in early childhood education is required; experience running a preschool and/or managing teaching staff is preferred. The director will be responsible for day-to-day management of the preschool, including supervising, supporting and promoting the professional development of staff, overseeing the budget with the help of a wonderful assistant director, and serving the developmental needs of young children. The interim director would be given very serious consideration for the permanent position.
