Project Manager
Position Requirement:
Architectural Registration
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, MS Project, MasterSpec, Outlook
Minimum of 10 years experience
- Previous experience with healthcare projects
Position Responsibilities:
Client Relations, Service and Commitment
• Primary client contact.
• Focus on service aspect of architectural practice.
• Act in our clients’ best interest.
• Conduct oneself professionally and with integrity at all times.
• Provide accurate and timely advice to the owner.
Business Marketing
• Participate in marketing efforts, including follow-up on leads.
• Participate in or conduct presentations to clients during the interview phase prior to
award of project.
• Make presentations to clients during the documentation phases of the project.
Proposals
• Prepare work outline, estimated hours and phasing used to prepare fee proposals.
• Assist in preparation and review of proposals and contracts.
Contract Administration
• Review and monitor scope of work vs. contract.
• Prepare addenda to contracts to reflect change in scope.
• Make sure that all the consultants’ contracts are executed.
• Budget time and expenses for projects.
• Evaluate progress of projects vs. hourly budgets.
• Resolve contract disputes, expanded scope of services, and fee adjustments based
on changes to estimated construction cost.
• Prepare construction contracts.
Billing
• Review and approve invoices from the consultants.
• Review and approve billing in a timely manner.
• Participate in the office management.
• Assist in collections, if requested by Business Manager.

Personnel
• Assist staff in improving the depth of their skills and their advancement in the office.
• Participate in the personnel’s review.
• Act to protect the office “as much as possible” from any possible liability.
Production
• Accomplish projects within hourly budgets.
• Accomplish projects within construction budgets and construction schedules.
• Schedule staff during document production and Construction Administration.
• Lead production team through the entire project (design through close-out).
• Make certain that Project Architect and Project Coordinator clearly understand their
role, the extent of their responsibilities, and what is expected of them. Provide
information, support and tools to enable them to successfully accomplish their tasks.
• Verify progress, status and granting of agency approvals and easements (DEP,
county, sewer, water, soil erosion, etc.) with civil engineer and client’s attorney.
• Make sure team is working efficiently and cooperatively.
