We're growing and we need help! We are a real estate company, but not a traditional real estate company: We use the Internet & SEO very successfully to bring leads in, and then distribute them to a network of agents, who then pay us a referral fee. The entire process uses a proprietary web-based CRM system, and we're ready to expand it to other markets. (We're currently in DC, MD & VA... we expect to grow to 12+ markets by the end of the year). We are looking for an experienced technology driven COO who can make this happen. There is a LOT of opportunity here. We've been refining the lead generation process locally for the past 6 years, and it is ready to be applied to other markets. Currently we get about 1,000 leads per month (yes month!) with our system. By expanding to other markets we can grow this number substantially. Here's who we're looking for: REQUIRED SKILLS: 1) Experience in leadership role in a company, preferably a technology company 2) Project management experience 3) Previous Chief Operating Officer experience an even bigger plus 4) Knowledge of Google SEO & Internet Marketing (if you're not sure what "SEO" means, this probably isn't the job for you) 5) Ability to write good requirement documents and manage tech projects through to completion (eventually we will hire in a dedicated project manager) 6) You must have experience working in small companies (we're currently about 20 people including agents, but the actual staff you'd be working with on a daily basis would be 3 to 4 people). THESE SKILLS ARE A PLUS (but not required as long as you're willing to learn quickly): 1) Real estate knowledge (either a real estate license, or experience buying & selling real estate) 2) Knowledge working with MLS systems and RETS feeds 3) Experience managing offshore developers 4) Experience with 37 Signals products (Basecamp & Highrise mostly) for product management 5) Any amount of development experience (HTML, Javascript, PHP, etc.) so you can communicate with developers 6) Experience working in a Start-up environment ABOUT US: We are a very technologically progressive real estate company based on Capitol Hill and currently licensed in DC, MD, VA & NV.
