Just 2 blocks away from the U st Metro, our apt is just a short stroll away from the nightlife, restaurants, cafes, and shops of U st, 14th Street, Dupont, Logan, and Adams Morgan. Yet, the apt is located on a quite street in the heart of the historical zone, where neighbors point out the house where Duke Elington used to live... The apartment was recently renovated, with modern appliances and a beautiful new kitchen. The huge living room and common area, a rare find in the area, allows all of us to spread out and be comfortable. We have central air-conditioning, dishwasher, washer and dryer and wireless hi-fi in the house! There is also a small backyard. The room is very large. Currently furnished with queen-size bed (really comfortable), two night stands, a large mirrored dresser (with a section that can be used as a desk), and a tall dresser. It also has one full wall of closet space. There is plenty of empty space to add a desk or a bookshelf, and still leave enough room left to do yoga in :-). We are a friendly house with an international atmosphere. The roommates are young professionals, one female and two male, who consider this a home, not just a place that we sleep in. We are respectful, socially and environmentally conscious. We would like everyone here to consider it a home, be willing to get to know each other and pitch in keeping the house clean.
