Looking for a laid-back roommate to take the third bedroom in our beautiful duplex apartment, complete with: - hardwood floors, - fully furnished living room, - a fireplace, - central air and heat, - gorgeous kitchen with all new stainless steal appliances, - washer & dryer, - 2.5 bathrooms, - big windows and lots of natural light The room is available August 1st or before, and the length of your stay is negotiable, as we currently have a month-to-month lease. The room open for rent is very spacious with a walk-in closet, brand new carpeting, and great light. The rent is $850 a month plus utilities (electric, cable+internet) split three ways, which generally works out to $60/person. Our building and general area is wonderful- we have lots of great neighbors who we adore and a little outdoor area that everyone helps maintain. There are a couple of convenience stores around the block, including a kick-ass store called Timor Bodega that sells organic and local dairy products and all farm fresh vegetables right across the steet. We are a 10 minute walk from great bars and restaurants on U street and there is a farmers market every Sunday. The closest metro is the Shaw/Howard stop on the yellow/green line but we also have a ton of buses very nearby (G2, G8, 80, all 90s busses etc). We also have a place in our apartment for a bike if that is the mode of transportation you prefer. We are two 24 year-old working professionals, who are busy during the week and social on the weekends. We try to keep our apartment clean and cozy, have gotten along with everyone we’ve lived with, and are happy to share a occasional glass of wine and dinner among roommates.
