Hi, I'm looking for a new roommate for an awesome 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Chevy Chase/Friendship Heights starting in Mid August or September. I’ve lived here 2 years and my roommate is moving for a job and I'd like to stay in this great apartment. The apartment is in the heart of Chevy Chase, minute walk from the Friendship Heights Metro Station (red line) in one of the hi-rise buildings (The Willoughby). The building has all the amenities you could want: pool, rooftop hang out, gym, convenience store, laundry just down the hall, cleaners and nearby is a bunch of shops (Chipotle, Panera, Starbucks, Mei Wah) not to mention all the stores/restaurants down the main strip in Chevy Chase like Clydes, Borders, Movie Theater, Mazza Gallery Mall, shopping and more. If you play basketball, there is a 5-10 walk to a nice basketball court too. It takes me 30 minutes door to door to get to work taking the red line downtown (includes the walks). Very nice. I like it because you’re close to the heart of DC and minutes from Bethesda so you can get any where pretty fast whether via metro or car. The apartment is very big and is on the 20th floor for some nice views. The kitchen was recently redone and is nice size and has a lot of drawers. The dining room is really big and the living room is huge. The apartment also has a huge, and very relaxing balcony. Super chill since we’re pretty high up on the 20th floor. The apartment is fully furnished with my stuff (dining room table, kitchen supplies, tv, couches and more) but if you have stuff we can figure it out (let me know what you got). Your room is very good size 15 X 13 feet with a big closet. We also have a jacket closet and a storage closet to store stuff. You would also get your OWN bathroom literally across the hall. If you have a car (current roommate doesn't have one), you'd have to rent a spot and there's always people offering up spots on the boards in the building. Probably $50-75/month extra. There is street parking as well only a minutes walk away need be if you don't want to pay for a space or need to wait a month. I did it for a bit. We would split utilities of which the only one is cable. That is about $75/month and includes Internet, Phone and Cable. We get HBO and Starz. Everything else like air conditioning, heat, gas, water is included which is really nice. About Me: I'm a 32 year old guy who is from the area but have lived all over the states. I'm a Director of Marketing for a company in DC downtown that is a lot of fun. I work typical hours and like to stay busy, but do like to chill at the apartment a decent amount watching some “quality” tv or sports. I'm a huge sports fan, college football my favorite (I went to Michigan), love the outdoors (camping, beach, skiing), playing poker, reading a good book, just about anything. I'm a pretty easy going guy and it's important to me to get along with my roommate. We don't have to be best friends, but grabbing a beer and hanging out always makes a living situation better. I keep the main areas pretty clean, but time to time things get hectic and might not clean it up immediately. At this stage I’m not that big of a partier, but will definitely have some friends come over on some weekends or during the week maybe to watch a big game or play some cards. Basically work hard, play hard I guess (but not too hard)...I think I’m a good roommate and get along with most any one. I've done craigslist a lot of times over the years (i've live in Chicago, SF, Boston) and almost every time they have been great experiences. About you: -Male or Female -23-37 years old -Have a steady job and can pay the bills on time -Have your own life but like to hang with roommate from time to time -Enjoys doing things and a variety of interests...is not a couch potato -Not anal about cleanliness, but do like to keep a place clean -Enjoy a beer every now and then.
