An association in Washington, DC seeks an experienced research project manager/director who has the capacity to step in on an interim basis to oversee several on-ongoing survey projects and develop and conduct new research projects. The successful candidate will be called upon to: • Work with the research team in creating new research projects. • Process and analyze medium-to-large datasets using statistical analysis software, including Excel and SPSS; • Develop data collection instruments, including inventories, questionnaires, and interview protocol; prepare training materials for their use; and conduct pre-tests; • Assist data collection efforts by training and providing ongoing support to internal staff and volunteers. • Develop tools and reports to help with strategic planning. The qualified candidate must have: • At least a Bachelor's Degree but a Master's Degree is preferred. • At least 3 years of related research or work experience. • Proficient in standard statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, or STATA • Experience in manipulating and analyzing large data sets. • Knowledge of foundational principles and processes of framing survey questions, conducting analyses, and writing survey reports. • The individual should be comfortable recommending and setting strategy as well as handling routine, day-to-day details. • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as strong writing and project management skills.
