Our agency is seeking an independent, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. Applicants must be experienced in developing volunteer or service-learning opportunities for youth 10 – 18. Experienced working within a collaborative environment, and in promoting positive and meaningful opportunities for youth. This position will play a critical role in the overall success of youth involvement and in developing a greater number of opportunities for youth to give back to their community through meaningful opportunities. The Youth Services Coordinator will: • Provide leadership in developing collaboration among youth serving organization to increase participation by youth in meaningful volunteer opportunities. • Provide training and support in developing / expanding service learning opportunities for youth. • Increase participation by youth serving organizations and youth in Global Youth Service – Semester of Service. • Monitor and collect participation • Identify and distribute resource information on service learning, youth leadership, and volunteer opportunities for youth. • Distribute mini-grant information for youth lead activities and service projects. • Participate in Anchorage Community Youth Plan – Meaningful Opportunities meetings.
