I am a graduate student studying speech-language pathology, and I'm available this summer to work as a nanny/babysitter. I'm in my late 20s, and I'm very responsible and reliable--I show up on time, do the extra things like straighten up the house, load/unload the dishwasher, do the laundry if needed, etc. I'm a non-smoker, and I have my own car with a good driving record. In my experience, one of the main complaints parents have had about their babysitters is that the house is a wreck when they get home, their kids have been sitting in front of the TV all day or the boyfriend was over. This is not an issue with me--I take care of others' homes and kids as though they were my own. Because I'm studying speech, I recognize the importance of creating a language-rich environment for children which includes a lot of reading and just learning about everything in the environment--if your child does have any speech or language concerns already, I'm happy to reinforce any goals you have set for him or her. I have many years of experience working with kids of all ages, needs, and I have wonderful references.
I'm primarily looking for full-time daytime hours this summer, but I could do a few different part-time positions--it doesn't matter how early you need to leave for work, and I can be around until dinnertime. If you are interested, please email me about what your needs are and what you pay.
