The Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education (MCIE) seeks professionals with knowledge and skills in functional behavior assessment (FBA) and positive behavior support (PBS) planning and a commitment to inclusive education for an exciting opportunity. Behavior Support Training Facilitators will partner with school system employees to provide training and technical assistance in FBA and PBS to school-based professionals and teams in a large urban school system.
Facilitators need a thorough understanding of principles of applied behavior analysis, skills in data collection and interpretation, and the ability to develop function-based, individualized behavior support plans (including prevention, teaching, and response strategies). Excellent communication and teaching skills and knowledge of adult learning and team facilitation are also required. Facilitators should have a Master’s Degree in School Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field. Experience working directly with students and/or staff in schools required; experience in urban public schools strongly preferred.

Positions are full-time with a July 1, 2009 start date preferred. Salary commensurate with experience; benefits provided. These positions are a part of a grant-funded two-year special project; extension of the positions beyond the initial two years of the project is possible but not guaranteed.
