WITCO Inc. is hiring a Developmental Specialist. JOB SUMMARY: The Developmental Specialist designs, implements and supervises services which enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities. Developmental programs increase independence and community integration. The Specialist is responsible for the development of both group curriculums and individualized plans in compliance with Medicaid regulations and other accreditation standards. The Specialist provides leadership for WITCO programs in Fruitland and Caldwell, hiring, supervising and motivating employees, establishing program budgets and achieving fiscal goals. The Specialist networks with community organizations, referral sources and professional groups to market services and advocate for persons served JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in special education, speech and language pathology, applied behavioral analysis, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work or therapeutic recreation. Related degrees can be accepted based on successful completion of a training curriculum and competency testing. A minimum of 240 hours of professionally supervised experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is required. Attention to detail, good work organization, proficiency in verbal and written communication, exceptional public relations ad a high degree of energy and enthusiasm are essential.
