Currently Credit Union 1 has an opening for a full time Lead Teacher at our Little One’s Early Learning Center; located at 1941 Abbott Rd. Hours for the position are Monday-Friday; 10:30am – 7:30pm. Flexibility with hours is required. The qualifications for a Lead Teacher are current infant/child CPR/first aid certification, CDA or AA in early childhood development, 3 years experience teaching in an early childhood program and a working knowledge of licensing and NAEYC Accreditation standards. Lead Teacher must also have the ability to communicate appropriately with children, parent/families, teaching and management teams; complete forms and records related to children’s development and learning experiences; and implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served. The Lead Teacher will move between the Toddler, Preschool, and School Aged classrooms as necessary. Job duties include managing the classroom in accordance with licensing and NAEYC Accreditation standards; evaluating the effectiveness of the program; and supervising and mentoring in-room staff. In addition, this position is responsible for designing and implementing curriculum; planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate learning experiences, interactions, and activities; and creating and maintain a safe, organized, well supplied and varied learning environment.
