Position: Child Development Teacher Department: Family Education Center Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours/week Salary Grade: 9 Pay Rate: $31,000 General Duties: The Child Development Teacher is responsible for assisting with the safety, care, education and well-being of children in their classroom. Responsibilities include curriculum development and implementation, group and individual lesson planning, informal parent education, and screening and assessment of children ages 3 to 5 years. The Child Development Teacher provides immediate supervision for their classroom staff. The teacher monitors records for their classroom. Requirements: AA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred or related degree. 90 hour Principles of Early Childhood. One-year experience in nursery or day care required. Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check. Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within three (3) months of hire. Negative TB screen and HEPB series or waiver.
