ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION The Department of Communication at Loyola College in Maryland invites applications from proven part-time instructors for Fall 2009 undergraduate classes: Computer Graphics I and II, News Copy Editing, Popular Culture in America, Public Speaking, Introduction to Advertising, Advertising Copy Writing, Advertising Management, Communication Research. Classes meet 2.5 hours per week during August 31 to December 9, 2009, with a one-week Thanksgiving recess. Loyola supports teachers with instructional development workshops and technology accounts. Candidates should possess (1) a master's degree; (2) a successful professional record relevant to the class topic; and (3) successful teaching experience. Instructors are expected to teach, correspond with students and faculty, hold office hours, attend departmental meetings, and support the university's Catholic/Jesuit mission (see http://www.loyola.edu/about/jesuitidentity). The Communication Department offers undergraduate specializations in Advertising/Public Relations, Digital Media, and Journalism. Our small classes are taught in state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms on Loyola's beautiful Evergreen Campus in Baltimore.
