The Adecco branch in Elkton, MD is currently recruiting for a Technical Director. Will be responsible for maintaining the plant building while ensuring equipment reliability minimizes lost time and prepare for emergency repairs. Conducts inspections, reports results and ensures work assignment results. Will be on-call for assisting the on-shift technicians and Plant Manager, in addressing any operational situations that may arise outside the realm of their normal duties. Includes some 50 hour weeks and Saturdays, depending upon production. Ultimately responsible for all QA and QC issues. Ensure all federal/state/local permits are complied with and all reports are generated in a timely manner. Ensure safe work practices and procedures are observed. Coordinate daily activities of all mechanics and maintenance contractors in coordination with Plant Manager. Suggest new equipment and automated processes which will result in savings cost and increasing production capacity. Administer employee development and qualifications programs. Provide input to the plant training plan. Participate in interview and hiring process for plant personnel. Maintain records of various labor operations. Must be able to comply and keep administrative requirements current. Reviews and provides input to plant operating procedures. Must possess a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, have minimum of 5 years industrial experience with manufacturing processes. Demonstrated experience as supervisor of professional and technical staff. Possess a professional Engineering license; possess a Six Sigma black belt certification in Lean Manufacturing techniques, or similar training in a related educational discipline.
