Newark, DE or Philadelphia Description: We are seeking a Traffic Engineer with 4-6 years experience in the development of roadway traffic plans, traffic analyses, and traffic impact studies. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required, with a Professional Engineer License (PE). Experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) planning and design is a plus. Successful candidate will have traffic engineering design experience and solid working knowledge of traffic analysis software programs. Design experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as it relates to highway geometrics, signal design, plan production, project estimates and specifications are also required. Proficiency in SYNCHRO and HCS traffic analysis software, Corsim and VISSIM, Microstation and Microsoft Office is desired. Candidate will be responsible for preparing reports and studies for various transportation facilities and traffic engineering projects. Effective oral and written communication skills are a must. Candidates must be self motivated with a desire to work on a broad range of transportation engineering analysis, design and field projects.
