We are seeking candidates for a Resident Engineer in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. Job Requirements: • Responsible for overall field management of HNTB's construction projects or a specific project. This includes administration and coordination on mid to large size roadway, aviation and rail projects of a diverse and complex nature. • Monitors activities of assigned staff for conformance with contractual requirements. • Provides technical leadership for complex or unique assignments. • Reviews construction for conformance to drawings, specifications and contract documents. May recommend changes to design. • Represents HNTB at projects meetings and site visits. • Read and Interpret complex contract documents. • Monitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress Schedule. • Mentor and train construction inspection staff. • Collect data to brief Client on Project Issues and provide possible resolutions. • Review and draft responses to Contractor's correspondence as required. • Prepare Summary Inspection Report of Daily Activities.
