We are seeking candidates for an Inspector II in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. Job Requirements: • Responsible for providing daily inspection of civil construction work to ensure that the project complies with plans, specifications and contract documents. • Observes construction on mid to large size roadway, aviation and rail projects and sees that the client's interests are protected. • Maintains daily logs of inspection work and reviews discrepancies or changes with Field Engineer. • Keep diaries of work performed and staff equipment utilized. Responsible for quality assurance and monitors work of contractors. • Keep superiors advised of problem areas. • Performs standard mathematical calculations. • Reads and interprets complex contract documents. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years civil construction experience in transportation, aviation and rail projects. • Knowledge of UDOT’s construction program required • PDBS software system is helpful. • Airfield construction and paving experience is preferred.
