Currently seeking a mechanical engineer to join a growing firm in SLC, in the area of Energy Efficiency and Energy Management. Specific responsibilities will include: performing energy engineering services for clients, reviewing energy efficiency, recommissioning projects, on-site field inspections, installing field monitoring equipment, conducting energy audits, performing comprehensive energy modeling, and performing other related tasks. Experience & Education Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering At least 5 to 7 years building system design experience including HVAC, controls, and piping Professional engineer license strongly preferred (or be on track to obtain a license) Client contact and relationship experience Strong verbal and written communications skills, including report and presentation preparation Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills Experience with Department of Energy modeling tools such as eQuest DOE 2.2 is preferred Familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1 2004 and 2007 and IECC 2006 Location: SLC Compensation: 75-85K Principals only.
