This person completes assigned activities under the direction of a more senior level individual and reports to Project Engineer III. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 1. Performs design calculation and analyses’ design to ensure project success, develops 3D models and submittal, assembly and fabrication drawings 2. Applies best engineering principals to all work performed 3. Adheres to advice from more senior peers and advises peers and supervisors when issues arise. 4. Responsible for providing prompt feed back when a problem is found 5. Responsible for completion of assigned tasks to be completed on time. 6. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. 7. Other duties may be assigned as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering from an accredited University or, a minimum of 6 years directly related experience. Must have knowledge of AutoCAD and some experience using a 3D modeling software. Mechanical aptitude and experience required and a knowledge of water and waste water equipment a plus. Knowledge of MS office products. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex industry related documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints. Ability to understand and both read, write and converse in English and at advanced level. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply advance mathematical equations to a variety of complex, non-standard situations REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to make decisions requiring the use of a variety of variables in non-standard situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, welding etc. Knowledge in design for production, drafting principals etc. Experience in CAD software especially 3D Modeling applications. Computer skills are essential – proficiency in Word and Excel are desired.
