Mechanical Engineering requirements 2-5 years experience in design and fabrication of spacecraft structure and mechanism Fluent in one or more solid modeling packages (SolidWorks best, but others OK) Very capable in structural analysis including basic approaches using hand calculations to detailed finite element modeling Interest in innovative structural approaches including advanced carbon fiber composites and multi-functional composites Experience in thermal requirements and analysis is desired, but not required Assembly, Integration and Test requirements 1-3 years experience in spacecraft assembly, integration, and test (coincident with mechanical experience is fine) Experience in design, fab, assembly, and use of GSE is desired, but not necessary Knowledge of common spacecraft mechanical assembly processes is desired Experience with integration of spacecraft with launch vehicle is desired, but not necessary Other requirements Bachelor degree or higher preferably in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering Eventual relocation to Albuquerque, NM (maybe after 1-3 month assessment period) Past or current security clearance level is desired, but not necessary Capable, enthusiastic, self-starter type that can work independently with little supervision  Location: Albuquerque, NM Compensation: Open Principals only.
