Industry: Electronics Manufacturing
Experience: Mid-Level 5 to 10 years
Well established company in the Electronics Manufacturing Services Industry is looking for a Senior Buyer who has solid purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include; obtain quotations or bids, prepare and place purchase orders, negotiate and monitor standard and non-standard purchase agreements, develop requirement specs including quality, quantity, and delivery, negotiate best prices for materials, supplies, and equipment, perform background checks of possible suppliers, maintain tracking/reporting systems, monitor agreements and resolve problems with suppliers, administer purchase agreements, and manage material deliveries and supplier performance to support production schedules.
Candidates must have min 5 plus years of in purchasing in a manufacturing environment where MRP is used, and must have the ability to effectively present technical and budgetary or cost information, and respond to questions from groups of managers and external contractors. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability and experience with MSWord, Excel, and Access are required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and written and verbal English communications skills are a must.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Electrical Engineering from an accredited US College or University is required.
Purchasing certification (CPPM or SPSM) is a plus.
