Client is seeking a Business Development Director to lead marketing and business development activities for a segment of the Government Services Business Unit, in Maryland. The office will focus on Engineering/Design, Procurement and Construction Services and Mission Support Services for the Intelligence Community, the US Army Corp of Engineers, NVAFAC and other Government agencies. This is a senior management business development position reporting to the Vice President of the Government Services Business Unit. Responsibilities include: - Develop and coordinate new business opportunities in the marketplace through continuous professional contact with existing and/or new clientele and determines clients long-range need for services and capital expenditures. - Solicit qualified bid/proposal opportunities and evaluates client needs for bids and proposals and sells appropriate services. - Penetrate new markets for business development, grow existing accounts as well. - Lead in the development of the group, subsidiary and/or corporate sales program. - Participate in proposal strategy and development plans - Manages proposal efforts that lead to the capture of new business Qualifications: All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this position. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Architecture is required - Minimum of 10 years experience working directly with Federal Government agencies - Proven experience with attaining, maintaining and growing accounts with the Federal Government agencies. - Experience in the engineering and construction industry - Excellent analytical and organizational skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills - Must be willing to travel Preferred Qualifications: - Active TS Clearance preferred - Prior intelligence agency experience - Experience with NAVFAC or the U.S. Corp of Engineers (Baltimore preferred) - Strong management skills, experience managing large accounts Client offers outstanding benefits package.
