Essential Functions: · Transfer bills of material into MRP system · Provide engineering, purchasing, and receiving inspection with component substitution support · Maintain master component database · Review customer specified parts to eliminate problems for purchasing · Process engineering changes · Resolve discrepancy reports for component level issues · Assist Purchasing to resolve component level technical issues; · Maintain accurate, current revision levels on engineering drawings and parts lists. · Enter new Item Masters, Bills of Material (BOM) and Bills of Operations (BOO) as required. Identify irregularities and prepare exception report for appropriate departments (e.g., purchasing, production) and customer review · Provide technical support and interact with Engineers, Buyers, Receiving Inspection, and others.
