Our client a recognized leader in the electronics manufacturing services industry has a Component Engineer position currently open at their location in Tulsa, OK. We are looking for people with solid experience with electronic components. Position Title: Component Engineer Salary Range: Based on Qualifications Relocation: Yes Location: Tulsa, OK The client is a proven provider of complete, solutions-oriented contract manufacturing services with capabilities that include: *Broad-based, high-performance manufacturing of electronics, electromechanical equipment and interconnect systems, including build-to-print and build-to-spec. *Skilled engineering, product development and packaging. *System integration. *Prototype- to full-volume production, strengthened by preferred supplier status and qualification to all military and commercial specifications. POSITION DESCRIPTION: *The position will evaluate bills of material for new customer orders and assist the organization with component level engineering support. *Transfer bills of material into MRP system. *Provide engineering, purchasing, and receiving inspection with component substitution support. *Maintain master component database. *Review customer specified parts to eliminate problems for purchasing. *Process engineering changes. *Resolve discrepancy reports for component level issues. *Assist Purchasing to resolve component level technical issues. *Maintain accurate, current revision levels on engineering drawings and parts lists. *Enter new Item Masters, Bills of Material (BOM) and Bills of Operations (BOO) as required. *Identify irregularities and prepare exception report for appropriate departments (e.g., purchasing, production) and customer review. *Provide technical support and interact with Engineers, Buyers, Receiving Inspection, and others. REQUIREMENTS: *Bachelors Degree REQUIRED, BSEE preferred. *2 years of experience as a Component Technician/Engineer *Familiarity with electronic components and component part numbering. *Ability to write and speak effectively with employees at all levels in the organization. *Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability. *People skills - customer oriented, positive attitude, team participation, problem solver. *Detail oriented with attention to accuracy. *Computer skills; thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. *Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. *Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside the company. *Flexible with high energy, able to handle multiple tasks smoothly.
